WCLK's Rivablue envisioned Jazz Interpretations as a way to bridge jazz and R&B music. Rivablue began this music fusion in December of 2011 at Cafe 290 and has kept it strong. Many of our favorite R&B stars and Soul Music Diva's also had a passion for jazz music. While incorporating Riva's first love of jazz and her favorite R&B/Soul Singers this gives the best of both worlds. She has met some of the most powerful well-known musicians of the past.
"I'm doing this because I think it is very necessary that jazz and blues stays in our culture. An effective way to do that is to perform the music so it's introduced a younger audience and new generation. This is an important part of the history of our nation. Through music, we have built bridges to stop negative views and perspectives of life."
